Former Army Ranger Rafe Hendrix is at a loss these days. He saved the President’s wife, but lost his little girl in the process. His wife left him, and took their two-year-old son. He moves to Fort Stockton, TX, and begins a new isolated life, when he meets a new woman, and tries to put his past behind him. But it’s not that easy, as someone is out to get him, and he soon finds himself trying to find a serial killer, who has it out for the President, and himself. He ends up on a cross-country trip tracking down leads, but someone seems to be one step ahead of him. When his ex-wife and son are taken, it becomes way too personal, and Rafe is determined to save them, and end this person once and for all. This is a great action-adventure thriller, with a great character in Rafe. Fans of books like The Gray Man, Orphan X and Jason Bourne will love this one.

You can pick up Shadow State in stores on Tuesday, February 21st from Crooked Lane.
