Book Review: ‘A Cosmic Kind Of Love: A Novel’ By Samantha Young

A delightful r0m-com, featuring two characters you really want together and you root for. One of the best rom-coms of the year, with some hot sex scenes thrown in. Hallie Goodman is an event planner in New York City, at one of the biggest event companies in the city. She’s planning a wedding for Darcy and it’s complicated as she and her soon to be husband want different things. When Darcy sends her files on things she wants, she also includes a folder from her ex-boyfriend, astronaut Christopher Ortiz, from a year ago when he was on the International Space Station and who is a media darling. They’re personal videos for Darcy but Hallie can’t help watching them and thinkg Chris is cool. She sends him personal videos and e-mails and tells him she saw the videos. He acts like he is not watching her videos but he is. Soon he decides he wants to meet her and goes to Darcy’s engagement party and they soon start a friendship and more. But they both have family issues and then Christ gets a job offer to go back to NASA and has to figure out what it is he wants and if Hallie will go along with it.
