Jay Leno’s Garage: The Best Cars In His Collection

Jay Leno is one of the most loved and respected (former) talk show hosts in the United States, and his humor and quick wit have ensured that he’s enjoyed a long career. What many people don’t know, however, is that Jay Leno is a car enthusiast with one of the most well-respected and revered collections in the world. Featuring over 180 vehicles that range from sports cars to trucks, Leno is the epitome of an avid collector. Let’s take a look at some of the best cars in his enormous garage.

Jensen C – V8

The Jensen C – V8 is a classic sports car that may well be one of the most popular in Leno’s collection. This model has featured in the Fast and Furious franchise with Michelle Rodriguez behind the wheel and it’s the ultimate high-octane sports car for adrenaline junkies. No wonder it’s in these movies! The Jensen C – V8 perfectly combines speed, luxury, and style, and while it’s doubtful that Leno uses it for high-octane missions, it’s nonetheless an awesome car to have in his collection.

Leno’s collection is so impressive that it encompasses multiple cars powered by different mechanical parts, including one that is powered by a turbine tank engine. However, some of the more “standard” cars are simply known for their expensive and high-quality catalytic converters. From his Ford F-250 to his Ferrari F430 these vehicles have catalytic converters priced well over $2800 each, with some reaching as high as $7500. This not only adds to their value, but to their performance too, making them an excellent investment.

2014 McLaren P1

As Leno is a fan of all types of cars, his collection is not simply filled with vehicles from the 1800s or classic vintage roadsters. He loves the modern technology that is evident in sports cars of the future, and when he added the McLaren P1 to his collection back in 2014 this was proof of that. The McLaren P1 offers one of the most powerful driving experiences and can reach a top speed of around 270 miles per hour. This makes it capable of competing against most Formula One and NASCAR cars.

1939 Lagonda V12

Turbine tanks aside, the Lagonda V12 is unlike anything else in Jay Leno’s collection. It is certainly one of the most expensive cars in Leno’s garage, with the average price estimated at around $2.5 million, and for good reason. The Lagonda is considered British royalty when it comes to racing cars of the past, and the unique style and body of the vehicle add to its appeal. This is not a car that many people will ever get to own in their lifetime, let alone drive. The rarity of this vehicle is one of its most attractive features, along with its interesting design and retro feel. The design of the 1939 Lagonda V12 was penned by innovators at Rolls Royce, giving the car the air of class.

Leno’s garage certainly is full of surprises and these three cars are just a sneak peek at what’s inside.
