A delightful rom-com featuring a woman starting overm a new romance and what it might be like being on a TV cooking reality show, are the highlights of this novel. Sadie Rosen is a chef in Seattle, who loses her job and is blackballed in the city (we learn why later on in the book). She gets a call for an interview to be on Chef Supreme, a reality cooking show filmed in New York. She’s accepted to be on the show and plans to use her backround in cooking Jewish food. On the way there she meets Luke on the plane and they spend a pleasant time together and have a quick get together when they get to New York and it ends with a hot kiss. She tells him she will see him in six weeks but can’t tell him why. They she sees he’s a judge on the show. They have to hide what they felt and go on with the show. Sadie hopes to at least make it to the final four, with hopes of opening her own restaurant one day soon. Things are crazy on the show and we follow a quirky group of chefs as they cook (and make us hungry), judges and how the show films. What will happen to Sadie and Luke and how she does on the show keeps the readers invested to the very end. Fans of the genre will enjoy this book.
