Book Review: ‘The Secret Letters Of Olivia Moretti: A Novel’ By Jennifer Probst

After their mother’s death three estranged sisters Dev, Bailey and Pris are cleaning out their family house when they discover a stash of secret love letters to someone named R and that their mother owned a cottage in Positano, Italy. They are shocked at this and decide they must go to Italy and find out the meaning of these letters and their mother’s secrets. And they found the letters just in time, as one of them from R said he was going to meet their mother on her upcoming 65th birthday, which is coming up. While there their issues come front and center as they search for answers. This trip for answers could further divide them or bring them together in the search for the truth. A very well-written character driven story, at its core about family and how secrets can destroy or bring together. One thing about secrets is they always come out. The setting also enhnaces this story told through dual timelines of the past and present.
