Book Review: ‘A Christmas Legacy: A Novel’ By Anne Perry

Gracie Tillman is at home getting ready for the Christmas holiday when she gets an unexpected visitor in Millie Foster. She was once cleared by Gracie and her husband of theft and now works as a maid for the rich Harcourt family. But something isn’t right at the house. Someone is stealing food and Millie is worried that she and the other staff will be accused and/or fired. So Grace offers to take her place for a few days to try and figure out what’s going on. Gracie is accepted into the house and begins to investigate but has to be careful. She’s warned off a few times but finally is told what is going on and she also overhears an interesting conversation. The reveal is fine and the way the story ends everyone will indeed get a Merry Christmas. Author Anne Perry (Elena Standish novels and a Christmas novel every year) writes these fun, uplifting Christmas stories to put a smile on your face. I am all in for anthing the Anne Perry writes and this is another well-written book.

You can pick up A Christmas Legacy in stores on Tuesday, November 9th from Ballantine.
