Lucy Richardson is always in the thick of it and in the latest novel she’s yet again involved with a murder. Lucy and Connor are celebrating their engagement party with friends and family when it’s crashed by Evangeline and her son Richard, who use to go with Lucy. She is the wife of one of Lucy’s dad law partners in his Boston firm. She wants Lucy and Richard to get back together but that’s not happening. Then at dinner at Jakes restaurant Evangeline’s husband is found dead. No one knew why he was in town as he wasn’t expected. And Lucy overheard an arguement between Evangeline and her son about the law firm. So now Lucy is once involved with a murder, even though she’s told to stay out of it. And when someone thinks she knows to much they take aim at her and she soon finds her life in danger yet again.
Another fun novel in the series from author Eva Gates. These small-town mysteries are always a lot of fun to read and throw in Charlie the cat at the library and I am hooked.
