Book three in the Koa Kane Hawaiian Mystery series is another thrill ride on the island of Hawaii. Author Robert McCaw tops his first two novels, in a story based on the history of Hawaii and has a great climax to the story. Readers won’t be able to put the book down. You may also learn a little bit of the language of Hawaii as you read the book.
Chief Detective Koa Kane is in the middle of budgets when a 911 call comes through that body has been found at the army training area of Pohakuloa. When he arrives at the scene he finds a mutilated body. He has an expert come and look and help with the autopsy and it looks like an ancient Hawaiian sacrfice. As the investigation begins it leads to an ancient tomb in the lava pits of a long ago King. It looks like it’s been looted and now the search is on for anyone trying to fench what was taken. He discovers the ID of the victim and it leads to several potential suspects and Koa soon narrows it down and it leads to a climatic showdown.
