One woman has multiple personalities in London and start seeing a new psychiatrist and helps investigate a potential human trafficking ring.

Alexa Wu on the surface seems like any other person. She starts seeing Daniel a new shrink in order to try and keep her life balanced and has gotten the a job she loves as a photojournalist. Daniel knows she has many other people living inside of her and he slowly meets them. They’re a wide variety of personalities. Only a few people know about her condition.

She has a close friend in Ella, who has started working at a gentleman’s club. Ella soon thinks her boss Navid is running a sex trafficking ring and enlists Alexa to help expose him. Soon it gets too much for Alexa and her different personalities start taking over and Alexa loses chunks of time. Daniel tries to help but he has his own issues as well, including he is attracted to Alexa.

They hope to get the goods on Navid and then we are left with a shocking twist you don’t see coming in the novel.

The book has already been optioned by Netflix and Jason Bateman is attached to it. There’s a good reason for this. The book is a great thriller and really well-written. The different personalities keep the reader wondering what will happen next as the story unfolds. Just a thrilling novel.

You can pick up The Eighth Girl in stores on Tuesday, March 17th from William Morrow.
