Book Review: ‘Labyrinth’ Is The Next Thrilling FBI Novel From Author Catherine Coulter

Author Catherine Coulter is back with her 23rd novel in her FBI series. And my first time reading one. And what a great book it is. Great characters with an interesting story make for a really enjoyable read.

The next chapter featuring Sherlock and Savich starts off with a bang. Agent Sherlock is in a horrible car crash. Someone runs a red light and right into her. She hits a man (CIA analyst Justice Cummings who is being chased) and crashes into other cars and a fire hydrant. She’s rushed to the hospital with Savich right on her heels when he hears about it. She is physically going to be fine but has amnesia at the moment.

Meanwhile FBI agent Griffin Hammersmith is on vacation in Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia and is out on a walk and hears a woman crying for help telepathically (he and the woman Carson have psychic abilities as does other characters in the novel). He saves Carson DaSilva and in the process it opens up a can of worms with the local authorities who basically own the town. Soon Savich and Sherlock are on the way there to help with what’s going on. Three girls have gone missing and the FBI is now taking over.

They soon return to Washington and start investigating what happened to cause the car accident and things start to unwind and soon both cases turn up shocking twists and turns that put everyone’s lives in jeopardy.

I couldn’t put this book down it was so good. A real page-turner and at one point a spitfire FBI agent named Bettina is called in and it is just an awesome part of the story. I only wish I had time to go back and read the previous novels. This reads like a stand-alone novel so it is easy to follow.

You can pick up Labyrinth in stores on Tuesday, July 30th from Gallery Books.
