Book Review: ‘Turbulence: A Novel’ Looks At Twelve People Lives As They Cross Paths

Twelve people who have never met each other are the catalyst for the book. It starts on a plane ride from London to Madrid that has Turbulence with two strangers. Each chapter is about one of the people from the previous chapters and we learn what they are up to and where they are going. Twelve flights, twelve people, twelve lives make for a fascinating look at different people.

It’s hard to say anymore about what these people go through. The book is only 145 pages and the author David Szalay packs a lot into this short book. It’s a fascinating look at what these peoples lives are like in such a short time and how they propel the story on to each new chapter.
