EMILY, which had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, is written & directed by Frances O’Connor. The film stars Emma Mackey (“Sex Education”, the upcoming Barbie), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk, Bandersnatch), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Lost Daughter, “The Haunting of Bly Manor”), Alexandra Dowling (“Merlin”), Adrian Dunbar (“Line of Duty”), and Amelia Gething (“The Amelia Gething Complex”). EMILY imagines Emily Brontë’s own Gothic story that inspired her seminal novel, “Wuthering Heights.” Haunted by the death of her mother, Emily struggles within the confines of her family life and yearns for artistic and personal freedom, and so begins a journey to channel her creative potential into one of the greatest novels of all time.
Bleecker Street will release EMILY in select theatres February 17, 2023
