Falling Skies chronicles the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that leaves most of the world completely debilitated. It has been about a year and a half since the attack and reality has set in on this whole new world. Season three opens seven months after the 2nd Mass arrived in Charleston. Tom (Noah Wyle) has been elected as a political official of Charleston, but he has his hands full as the resistance continues to battle the alien invaders. The newly-formed alliance Tom formed with a new alien race gains them their first real advantage in the war against the invading Espheni.

Throughout its first three seasons on TNT, Falling Skies has been a top-rated series across basic cable. In 2011, the TNT original series was the #1 new series of the year, and in 2012, it was the #1 summer drama among key adult demos, and the third season of Falling Skies was the #1 series on basic cable in prime time among Adults and Men 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research. The Falling Skies: Planetary Warfare mobile and tablet game from Little Orbit debuted in February 2014, with another console game slated for release later this year.

Falling Skies stars Noah Wyle (ER) as Tom Mason, the newly elected President of the New United States. Joining him are Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) as Dr. Anne Glass, a pediatrician who has become the survivors’ primary physician; Will Patton (Armageddon, TNT’s Into the West) as Colonel Weaver, the gruff and emotionally scarred commander of the 2nd Massachusetts; and Drew Roy (The Secretariat), Tom’s oldest son.

The series is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, with Greg Beeman (Heroes, Smallville) and Remi Aubuchon (24, Summerland) serving as co-executive producers.
