‘The Yank’ Trailer On DVD And VOD Tuesday, March 1

Vision Films is set to release hilarious Irish-American comedy film with an all-star cast, “The Yank”, coming to DVD & VOD across North America on March 1st 2016, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! This one is a MUST-SEE for everyone feeling the luck of the Irish this year, with guaranteed laughs, as well as a touch of romance.

“The Yank” stars Fred Willard (Anchorman, Best in Show), Kevin Farley (The Waterboy, Tommy Boy), Colm Meaney (Hell on Wheels, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Nichole Forester (Guiding Light, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice), Niki Spiridakos (Blond Ambition) and writer/director Sean Lackey as our protagonist Tom Murphy – a middle-aged man from a proud fourth-generation Irish family in Cleveland that has never before been to Ireland.

A fish-out-of-water satirical comedy of the Irish, true love and beer, the film follows Tom Murphy, a clueless Irish-American, as he travels to Ireland for his best friend’s wedding and to find the girl of his dreams. But when he falls for a Greek beauty instead of an Irish-born lass, he must choose between his family’s expectations and true love.

Shot on location in Cleveland,Dublin and County Clare, Ireland, “The Yank” sees Tom getting sent off on a side-splitting epic adventure. Tom does not know it yet, but he’s about to come face to face with the real Ireland.

Sean Lackey says: “The Yank is a comedic satire on Irish America. What better group of people to laugh at themselves? Think SIDEWAYS, but with beer!”

“The Yank” won Best Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival, and has screened at festivals across the country to critic and audience acclaim.

Vision Films Managing Director / CEO Lise Romanoff says: “With it’s over-the-top Irish-American humor and an all-star comedic cast, The Yank is a perfect St Patrick’s Day movie – or ANY day movie. There’s romance, bromance… and if beer-mance exists, there’s a generous helping of that too!”

“The Yank” will release on DVD and VOD across the North America on March 1st ’16
