From the wilds of Alaska to the cold of the Bering Sea, season six of MeatEater, airing exclusively on Sportsman Channel, will take viewers on an outdoor experience across international territories and through uninhabited locations in America. New episodes continue with Rinella heading out alone to Arizona for Coues deer. He immerses himself in the quiet Southwest desert and gets up close with one of the most wary animals in the West. Giant felines threaten the story but Rinella stays on course and articulates why solo time in trophy country is good for the soul.
MeatEater airs exclusively on Sportsman Channel on Thursday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Primitive landscapes, wild adventure, secluded hunting and flavorful wild game cooking are all on the menu during this season of the award-winning series with Steven Rinella. Additionally, the show welcomes back the comedic duo of Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen for an unpredictable spring turkey hunt in California’s Napa Valley region on September 3. The last time Rogan and Callen went out with Rinella, they were soaked head to toe and came home meatless. Rinella remedies that situation this year by keeping the guys happy in the most fertile area in California known for wine – and turkeys.
“Viewers are going to be surprised by the variety of this new season, both in terms of the locations and the visual style,” said Rinella. “We’ve got episodes coming from the Bering Sea to Napa Valley wine country, and from a place of boisterous humor to one of silent solemnity. MeatEater continues to evolve in a way that our entire team is excited about, though we still hold dearly to the guiding principles that have directed us from the beginning,”
