DVD Review: ‘Melrose Place: The Complete Series’ DVD

Melrose Place (the original one) ran from 1992 to 1999 and week in and week out was one of the campiest, most fun show to watch week in and week out.The show followed the lives of Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro), Jane Mancini (Josie Bissett), Billy Campbell (Andrew Shue), Alison Parker (Courtney Thorne-Smith), Jo Reynolds (Daohne Zuniga), Jake Hanson (Grant Show) and Matt Fielding (Doug Savant), who all like in the same apartment complex. Other recurring and then actual cast members were Dr. Kimberly Shaw (Marcia Cross) and Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton). Throw out the boring first season and starting in season two, when Heather Locklear joined the cast full time as Amanda Woodward and became the bitch of the show.

You can relive all the marriages, divorces, cheating, blackmail and the craziness of each of these characters. Who can forget when Kimberly pulling off her wig and went crazy and blew up the apartment complex.Jo’s baby was kidnapped, the fights in the pool and the classic one-liners. Along the way people came and people left, but the show always kept Amanda strong and nothing was ever off limits for the show. Stories you never expected popped up and your jaw dropped. Paired with Beverly Hills 90210, it was a fun night of watching these shows.

You can pick up Melrose Place: The Complete Series in stores on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, October 4th.
