After the events of the first novel, Jordan Manning is now a superstar with her own program. When Shelly Biltmore calls in asking for help, Jordan decides to look into her case after she shows up in Chicago. Shelly lives in Indiana and believes her sister Marla has been murdered, possibly by her abusive husband. Jordan ends up going with her and talking to friends, and things are not at all what they seem, leading to some dark places. Jordan is determined to get to the bottom of this disappearance, even if it puts her own life in danger. This is a good follow-up to the first novel. Jordan has more depth, and this is a twisty story, that keeps you engaged throughout. Can’t wait for the next one. The book is in stores now.
