A corporate retreat in Miami is the setting for this fun dark comedy thriller. Aurora is a successful tech company, led by John Shiller, who has an obsession with Churchill and is in the process of selling the company. Caitlin Levy starts the story, she just got hired by the company, for a lot of money, and has no idea why. She’s an event planner, and Aurora doesn’t do events. She heads to Miami with the rest of the company and finds a bunch of interesting people work for the company, and John has spared no expense for this trip. One of the employees goes missing, and it starts to expose all the secrets among the employees, and there a lot of them. The most important thing is for the sale to go through for everyone, and keeping their mouths shut is hard to do, when slowly all the secrets start to come out. This is a great novel filled as I said with secrets, twists, some well-timed comedy, fun characters and a look at how money and greed can justify almost anything.
