Emma is a witch and Bastian is a warlock, who have known each other since they were kids, and got engaged, with a contract. That was seven years ago, when he ran off, without a goodbye. Now he’s back, and wants to marry her again, because a clause in the contract makes his mother sick, since they didn’t get married. It would be a marriage in name only, and she agrees. They spend time together, and fall for each other again, each are different than they were before. But Emma is holding on to secrets, and when she finally confesses, and finds a way out of the marriage, it breaks both their hearts. When she finally gets a spine, tells off her overbearing mother, and makes a last ditch effort to win back the man she has fallen in love with. This is a great rom-com, with magic, fun characters, and a couple you root for. Fans of this genre will be happy with this one.
