Book Review: ‘The Stepsisters’ Is The New Great Susan Mallery Novel

Has Susan Malley ever written a bad book? Nope….never…and her string continues in the new heart-warming, character driven story about three ‘sisters’ who weren’t really close years ago but come together and manage to work out their differences years later. Susan is the Queen of this genre. Daisy is married to Jordan and they have two children, two dogs and cats, a big house and plenty of money. But Jordan up and leaves one night leaving Daisy to wonder why. Sage is her step-sister, who once had a thing with Jordan years ago. Cassidy is Daisy’s half-sister and step-sister to Sage (need a scorecard to keep track!) and now through a serious accident all three are back in each other’s lives, with a lot of baggage. As the days go by they start to work through it all and become close. Daisy is working on her marriage…Cassidy has a man who loves her and wants to marry her but she’s no good at relationships…and Sage has connected with former friend Adam, who lives next door to her at her mother’s house (her mother is a piece of work). Just as it seems everything might work out, one night changes things and the sister’s truce and new relationships will be tested.

You can pick up The Stepsisters in stores on Tuesday, May 25th from MIRA.
