Meddy Chan and Nathan are on their honeymoon in Europe before traveling to Jakarta for the Chinese New Year, to celebrate with her huge family, including all the Aunts. Nathan is looking forward to it, Meddy not so much, her family can be a bit too much. Once there, everyone is happy, eating lots of food, and having a great time. Then Abi, a gangster, shows up to see second aunt, they were in love years ago, and it didn’t work out. He brings presents for the family, and hopes to rekindle with her. One of the presents isn’t meant for the family, a deed to some land, that is owed to another gangster, Julia Child, and Abi needs it back. The family goes to work, finds it, and trouble ensues, another gangster has possession of it, they get it back, and it sets off a chain of events, second aunt has been kidnapped, and now the Aunties have a plan to rescue her, that turns into a mess, but also brings an end to the bad feelings between the three gangsters. This is the final novel in the series (NO!), and I hope author Jesse Q. Sutanto will reconsider and write more. The Aunties are some of the best characters in any books, are hilarious, and a force to be dealt with. These books are so much fun to read, and I recommend you also read the first two in the series.
