Book Review: ‘The Children Of Red Peak: A Novel’ By Craig DiLouie

What really happened 15 years ago at Red Peak? Only 5 people can possibly know for sure. One now it’s down to four as one has committed suicide. The rest have gone on with their lives but that time still haunts them.

When they were kids David, Deacon, Beth, Emily and Angela all lived at a religious compound, The Family Of The Living Spirit (some say it was a cult). At first it wasn’t too bad until their leader said he found a calling and it was time to go to the other side. And then that night everyone but the five died. And these young adults all witnessed it.

Now on the 15th anniversary they’re going back to the place where it all happened to try and finally put it all behind them and remember exactly what happened. When they get there what they find is not at all what they expected and the question is will they make it out alive?

A solid, supernatural thriller, with a suspenseful twist as to what really happened will keep the reader on the edge of the seat, right to the final word of the novel.

You can pick up The Children Of Red Peak in stores on Tuesday, November 17th from Redhook.
