Book Review: ‘The Cellist: A Gabriel Allon Novel’ By Daniel Silva

After Russian Viktor is found dead in London by a deadly nerve agent, it brings Gabriel Allon on the scene. Viktor once saved Gabriel’s live and now he wants to know what happened to him. He begins his investigation and it leads him to different parts of Europe and to a Cellist. He finds out that in Geneva a Russian is doing KGB style things to try and undermine the West and plants a woman who works for a dirty band, to crash a party and get as much information as she can. He has her bugged and is ready to move in for the kill but things don’t go as expected and now it’s a race against time to save her and in the process this could be the end of Gabriel.

I love these Daniel Silva books featuring Gabriel Allon. This is book number 21 and the series just keeps getting better and better. He has a unique way in his writing and it shows as you read the stories. There’s twists and turns and enough action to keep the reader engaged throughout the novel.

YOu can pick up The Cellist in stores on Tuesday, July 13th from Harper.
