A U.S. destroyer is in the Persian Gulf, and a torpedo sends it to the bottom of the ocean. It’s reported by Navy Secretary Brenda Verbeck that the sub was shot down by one of America’s unmanned underwater vehicles by mistake. She suggests that it be shot out of the water before it makes the same mistake again, knowing that she is hiding a secret about what happened. Ex-Navy SEAL Lonny Mixell is back and alive and is taking out former elite members of the Seal Group, one by one, all whom had a hand in killing Bin Laden years ago, and soon a shocking reveal is made about that raid. CIA director Christine O’Connor rehires Jake Harrison to find and if necessary take out Mixell, who wants to take out Harrison for revenge for something that happened years ago. This is the seventh novel in the series, and it’s another thrill ride from start to finish. Fans will be on the edge of their seats reading this one, with twists and turns, tragedy and a shocking ending. The groundwork for the next novel has been laid, and I cannot wait to read it.
