Book Review: ‘Stranger In The Lake: A Novel’ By Kimberly Belle

Charlotte was from the wrong side of the tracks. She married Paul years after his wife drown in the lake he lives on. Now they are happily married and expecting a child. When Charlotte sees Paul with a strange woman in town she doesn’t think too much about it. That is until the next morning when the woman is found dead under their dock. The same place Paul’s late wife Katherine was found years ago.

The police arrive and the investigation begins. And soon Charlotte starts learning things about Paul’s past and how it ties into what happened to his late wife and this new woman that’s been murdered. And soon Charlotte finds her life in jeopardy when she figures out too much and then the shocking details of the past come out and one person won’t survive. As they say secrets never stay buried and the past comes back to haunt those in the present.

A thrilling story with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged from the beginning. A solid summer thriller.
