Book Review: ‘Scorpion: A Novel’ By Christian Cantrell

A serial murderer is on the loose and CIA agent Quinn Mitchell is put on the case, even though she’s not really qualified. The killer leaves four numbers on each of his victims (which we will learn about later) but it baffles Quinn. She is following him around the world but always seems to be one step behind him (and we learn who he is early). Each killing has something to do with the future and something each person would do. This is via an Epoch Index in the Large Hadron Collider. Now it is the time to figure out what the mysterious message that was found in the Epoch and how it leads to a shocking reveal for Quinn and who the killer really is and why he’s doing what he does.

There’s a reason this book had a lot of bidders for the movie rights…it’s really good. A top-knotch thriller from the very beginning right up to the end. You embark on a thrill ride that never lets up. A perfect Memorial Day read.

You can pick up Scorpion in stores on Tuesday, May 25th from Random House.
