Temperance and Duncan were (and still are in love with each other), since they were 18 years old, but it didn’t work out. Over the years there have been hookups, but they drift apart. Now fourteen years later they’re together, along with his big family, and their friends for the wedding of Duncan’s brother, and one of Temperance’s besties, and the same pull is there for them. They keep dancing around it, fighting the attraction, and fighting each other. They give into temptation, but it just drives them further apart, when everyone around them knows they should be together, and now they have to figure it out for themselves, and even if they do, Duncan has a shocking secret that could blow them apart. This is a really well-written, character driven, part rom-com, all heart novel. You root for them to be together, and want to keep reading along to see what will happen. A great summer beach read.
