Someone is killing prositutes in New York City and Homicide Commander John Driscoll is on the case. He learns that it is someone named Tilden who may be responsible. Tilden was abuses as a kid and is now taking it out against these women and his past. Tilden doesn’t just kill these women he embalms them and burns them.

Driscoll teams up with Sargent Margaret Aligante and Detective Cedric Thomlinson to try and find and stop Tilden once and for all. But Tilden is on to Driscoll and the fact that Driscoll knows about him and it turns into a game of cat and mouse between the two. Tilden wants to take Driscoll out and will stop at nothing to do it. It leads to a climatic finale that keeps the reader on the edge as it plays out.

This is a well-written thriller with characters you root for and follow along as they look to find the killer before he strikes more. Here’s to more John Driscoll novels.
