Thea Fox is 12 and has the Fox family gift of seeing into minds, which all the women in the family have. She and her 10-year-old brother are dropped off at her grandmother, Lucy’s, farm in Kentucky for their annual two-week vacation. They look forward to it every year. On this night both Thea and Lucy have the same dream, her parents are shot to death in their bed. Thea is able to give the police a description and the killer, Ray Riggs, is soon caught and sent to prison for life. Turns out he has the same gift as Thea, and they soon play mind games with each other. We follow Thea as she grows up, goes to college, becomes a video game designer and falls in love. As the years have gone by Ray seems to be getting stronger with his gift and Thea decides it’s time to end things with him one way or the other. This is the annual stand-alone novel from author Roberts, and it’s another winner. The romance and the supernatural element keep you reading along, and the final showdown is just great.
