Book Review: ‘Like A Sister: A Novel’ By Kellye Garrett

Lena Scott is shocked to learn that her ex-reality star Desiree is back in New York. She’s even more shocked when she’s found dead of a drug overdose near where Lena lives. They haven’t seen each other for two years and Lena doesn’t believe she died of an overdose. Since the police won’t do anymore investigating, Lena takes it upon herself to figure out what happened the night she died. She tries to talk to anyone and everyone that knew her sister. It also forces Lena to take a look at her own life and the relationships she has with her friends and estranged father. And she may not like what she finds. A solid mystery that at it’s core is about taking stock in your life and who you are and what you want to be. The mystery keeps you engaged as Lena tries to find justice for her sister.
