Ruth Sterling met James when she was sixteen, she became pregnant, left town after something shocking happened, and never look back. She went on to have her baby, change her name, and raise her daughter Catherine, always being an overprotective mother. She never talked about her past, and Catherine has always wondered. Now years later Ruth’s life is about to unravel, and everything she has done up to now will be exposed, with shocking secrets, and a visit from James after all these years, looking for revenge for what happened to him, and Ruth’s what he feels is Ruth’s betrayal of him. A well-written character driven psychological thriller, with twists and turns, keep you reading along. Each chapter is told by Ruth or Catherine, and it is a game of cat and mouse between these two women. This one is a winner.
