Book Review: ‘Game On’ Is Fun And Lighthearted

From Washington, DC, to Paris, Legs is tailing Charles Oakley Palmer III, a white-collar criminal she’s determined to bring to justice. But will romance or betrayal blossom along the way? Find out in the first in a sizzling new series about a team of highly skilled investigators who go undercover to catch criminals—while juggling romance, world travel, and danger around every corner.

‘Game On’ is apparently the first in a series called ‘The Bodsquad.’ As a first effort, author Gabra Zackman has put great heart into this story. It will certainly pass the time on the plane or the train. She gives you the lovely Susannah Carter, a stunning, statuesque agent about to enter the world of Charles Palmer, CEO of Palmstar Equities and handsome, sexy millionaire who has information her boss needs.

Beautiful house in New York, stylish party and of course, he can’t keep his eyes, or anything else for that matter, off of her and they are between the sheets in no time, rocking each other’s world. Could he be the one to fill the empty void in her soul? Could she become the girl to make him human again and turn him from the road to perdition? The only thing he has lived for is revenge for his father’s murder.

He has gone underground, trying to find the killer and the people he has become involved with are no-good vicious thugs. There are many romps and many misunderstandings before the final act. I was put in mind of of the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, all grown up of course, very, very grown up! The story never takes itself too seriously and that is a redeeming factor. A lighthearted read.
