Book Review: ‘For Twice In My Life: A Novel’ By Annette Christie

Layla Rockford was dumped by her boyfriend Ian two weeks ago, and is still in shock over it. When Ian is struck by a car while riding his bike, Layla is called, as she is his emergency contact. It’s assumed she is his girlfriend, and he has some memory loss, and she never tells him they broke up. Now she’s taking care of him, and they’re back together. Layla feels guilty about not telling him, but thinks this is their second chance at love. When Ian’s estranged brother Matt shows up, everything changes and Layla is not sure Ian is the one for her after all. A solid romantic novel in which you do root for Layla, and hope she gets her second chance. But then secrets are revealed, and just who has been lying to whom? Fans of the genre will enjoy this one.

You can pick up For Twice In My Life in stores on Tuesday, February 7th from Little, Brown and Company.
