Reagan Reyes is an investigator for the law firm Holcombe & Donaldson, out of Dallas, and also the lover of one of the partners. On this day, a woman leaves a note at the lawyer’s office, and then dies. Reagan discovers what’s in the note, and is told to forget about it. As she investigates, she discovers ties between the dead woman, other dead people, and the firm she works for. Someone is on to what she’s doing, and doesn’t want her to dig up any more information, and soon targets her, and her lover, and it’s a race to stay safe. A solid thriller with well-written characters, and a good story, and good use of the Dallas area. Fans of thrillers will like this one.
