The year is 1997 in Las Vegas, and it’s been ten years since Danny Ryan fled Rhode Island with his infant son and dad, and built a new life. He has it all now, he’s a multimillionaire, owns two hotels on the strip, and the love of his son Ian, and a good relationship with his mother. The feds are leaving him alone, and life is good, but Danny wants more. A hotel property is available, on a prime piece of real estate, but he loses out on it, until he blackmails the owner into selling it to him, which starts a war in Vegas, leaves many dead, and Danny on the brink of being killed himself. Meanwhile, in Providence, old grudges have come to light, and a new war, a sensational murder trial, and the return of one of Providence’s own, finish what was started ten years ago. This is the third and final novel in this series, and the last novel from author Don Winslow, who is retiring from writing. The novel is awesome!!! It’s a fitting conclusion to this series, and to the writing career of Don. Once you start, you’ll not want to put it down. Thanks for all the great novels over the years.

You can pick up City In Ruins in stores on Tuesday, April 2nd from William Morrow.
