The sixteenth novel in the series is another great one. Bernie currently has no cases, and he meets up with his friend Nixon, who wants to write and sell a movie based on Chet and Bernie, which Bernie is not too keen on. Then he is asked by Bitty, an internet sensation, who owns Miss Kitty, who is very popular as well, and she has gone missing. They want Bernie to find the cat, and it leads him and Chet on an adventure involving a pig (Senor Piggy), an ex-husband, two dead bodies, and Chet going missing and ending up in an animal shelter. It’s all in a day’s work for this dynamic duo. This book is a lot of fun. For people not familiar with the series, it’s told via the voice of Chet the dog. He tells you everything he’s feeling and seeing, and it’s always a hoot. This is a unique, fun series not to be missed.
