Three women are thrown together in a house in Summer Hill, Virginia and become friends and reveal all about their lives. Olivia who has finally married the man of her dreams forty years later. Kathy who’s married to a man in love with someone else. And Elise who was forced to marry a man she didn’t love by her parents and who has just escaped from a mental institute.

Over the course of a few days they bond and reveal all the details of their lives, their desires and what they hope for the future. Their stories are all interesting accounts of what they have gone through. Then something magical happens. They are given the chance to pick a time in the past and change something about their live that can change their futures. They have three weeks to accomplish what it is they want.

None of them believe it can really happen but each give it a try. Will the women get the lives they want or is it all a crock?

This is a wonderful story of three women and their lives, passions and desires. A perfect summer read and start to a new series from author Jude Deveraux.
