The 54th novel in J.D. Robb’s Eve Dallas thriller is another nail bitting story that keeps you on your toes reading. With plenty of tension and a few well-timed LOL moments, this book is as good as any other in the series. A young woman has been murdered and a note left with the body that says Bad Mommy. It falls to Eve Dallas to investigate and she and her partner Peabody are on the case. The body was made up to look like someone from the early 20th century, with the hair, make-up and clothing. And Eve soon learns that other women has disappeared as well and then a second body, with the same note and attire is found. But this time the killer has made a mistake and it allows Dallas to pounch on it and soon she learns who the killer is and must act quickly to save another victim she knows the killer has. It leads up to another climatic showdown, as only J.D. Robb can write.
