Naomi Ackerman is 24 years old and lives in New York City. She works at a bookstore and is an aspiring writer of novels. She’s sold some short stories and is working on a novel. She’s never had a steady boyfriend until she meets Caleb on Tinder and they hit it off. This is her first serious relationship and she’s falling for Caleb. He was in a relationship with Rosemary for a long time and even mover to America from Wales to be with her. Naomi decides to stalk her and use what she finds for her novel. Then she becomes secret friends with her and even hangs out with her. Her novel is coming along based on her relationship with Caleb and how she’s stalking Rosemary. But as it turns out who is stalking who and what will happen when it comes out what Naomi is doing. A solid debur novel from Caitline Barasch, which she flips the script and has the actual girlfriend as the stalker, which is refreshing and different.

You can pick up A Novel Obesession in stores on Tuesday, March 15th from Dutton.
