Blu-ray Review: ‘The Death Of Superman’

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.

Superman (Jerry O’Connell) and his Justice League friends face a big enemy Doomsday in the latest DC/Warner Bros. animated feature The Death Of Superman. He arrives from outer space and no one seems to be able to take him out. Wonder Woman (Rosario Dawson) has been taken down. Superman is losing his battle against him and may lose Lois Lane (Rebecca Romijn) as well. He has been feeling guilty of not telling her is he Superman since they have been getting close. Lex Luthor (Rainn Wilson) is also back and up to no good with Doomsday. When Lois is in danger Superman digs deep down to protect her and take out Doomsday once and for all. It may be his undoing though.

Make sure to watch the post-credit scenes as it will lead to a sequel already for release in 2019. This is a well animated story, with a great plot based on the 1992-93 comic storyline. The emotional story and ending is well worth watching for if you’re a Superman/Justice League/DC Comics fan.

You can pick it on Blu-ray and Digital on Tuesday, August 7 from Warner Home Video.
