Blu-ray Review: ‘The Ringer’

A man posses as mentality disabled so he can compete in the Special Olympics. The movie is executed produced by the Farrelly Brothers.

Steve Barker (Johnny Knoxville), a former track and field star, is pressured into rigging the Special Olympics by his uncle Gary (Brian Cox). He creates his alter ego ‘Jeffy (introduced as Jeffy Dahmor). He meets an interesting group of athletes once inside the Olympic village. A romance soon builds between Steve (Jeffy) and Lynn (Katherine Heigl). Jeffy is soon exposed as a fraud and the plan is to work together to beat perennial champion Jimmy (Leonard Flowers).

Funny at times and offensive at others, hey would you expect anything less from a Farrelly movie? You can pick up ‘The Ringer’ on Blu-ray, in stores now.
