The Nut Job is an animated film following a squirrel and rat duo as they orchestrate a plan to heist a nut store and take back the nuts to the animals in the park. But what they imagine will be a smooth transaction, turns out to be an adventurous experience filled with tons of mishaps.
Undeniably a mixture of vibrant and sharp colors, The Nut Job is unfortunately nothing spectacular when it comes to the world of animated movies. Like just about any animated film, some of the top actors/actresses have lend their voices to portray the characters but the “squirrel plotting to rob a nut store” doesn’t result in an unforgettable animated favorite.
Younger children, aged 6 and under may find The Nut Job very entertaining, while older children may become slightly bored with the story line. However, a definite save for the film is some of the music numbers, witty lines that the animals exchange.
Available in stores on Tuesday, April 8.
