Dakota’s summer tells the story of Dakota Rose and surprising news she gets on her 18th birthday. She learns she’s adopted and throws spins her world around.
Dakota and her sister are members of the Sweethearts of the Roder, as trick riders. Dakota feels out of place as she’s not very good at it. When she finds out the truth, it sets her on a path to find out who she is and about her real family. She soon finds out information about her family and meets her real mother. As she gets to know her, she realizes that things have happened for a reason in her life.
The second chapter of the series is an uplifting movie for the whole family. It shows that regardless of genes, love is universal.
