The Midnight Sky (Netflix, Movie)
This film is as poetic as you are going to get in big budget science fiction. It’s also a slowly sobering story and borrows heavily from other great films. Which seems to have turned many off of its heartbreaking and insightful story. I don’t see the issue. Every movie borrows from other films. If you are going to do it then do it from the best. I beg you to give this film a chance. Clooney does his best work as a director since ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’. Plus, the supporting cast is as good as it gets.
