Vision Films is set to release Romantic Comedy film “A Date with Miss Fortune” this February, with select theatrical screenings in the USA handled by First Pond Entertainment, and Canada through Northern Banner, from February 5th, and across the USA on DVD and VOD February 9th 2016.
Starring real life married couple – “A Date with Miss Fortune” writer/producers Ryan K. Scott and Jeannette Sousa – alongside Joaquim de Almeida (Our Brand is Crisis, Clear and Present Danger), Vik Sahay (American Reunion) and Grammy Award-winning recording artist Nelly Furtado, the film is a heart-warming tale directed by John L’Ecuyer, in the vein of hit films such as “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and “Meet the Parents”, about how cultural traditions clash with true love.
A struggling writer (Scott) meets a superstitious Portuguese beauty (Sousa), with no idea that his life and luck are both about to change… if only the two of them can overcome their families’ cultural differences… “A Date with Miss Fortune” is a vibrant, romantic and laugh-out-loud story about passion, destiny, and modern cross-cultural relationships.
