HOSTILE PLANET premieres Monday, April 1 at 9/8c on National Geographic. The six-part series, hosted by Bear Grylls and executive produced by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Guillermo Navarro (Pan’s Labyrinth), explores the world’s most extreme environments to reveal the animal kingdom’s most epic stories of survival on our changing planet through a truly cinematic experience.
The premiere episode on April 1 is titled MOUNTAINS – it treks five mountain ranges across six countries, shining a spotlight on world’s most resilient mountain animals, including snow leopards, barnacle geese, Gelada monkeys, mountain goats and golden eagles. Despite the challenges of survival faced at such high altitudes and against the increasing threat of climate change, these creatures somehow manage to triumph in these desolate, unforgiving landscapes.
