“Hope Dances” stars newcomer Avarose Dillon as Hope, a multi-talented young girl with the chance to win the lead role in the Nutcracker Ballet, but must choose between pursuing her mother’s (Sunny Doench: “Remember the Daze” “Beverly Hills 90210”) dream of her becoming a prima ballerina and her father’s, (Michael Cotter: “Inherent Vice”), aspirations of making her a sport’s champion.
Rounding out the cast is Karen Kahn, (“Mrs. Doubtfire”), as Vivi, Michael Swan (“As the World Turns”) as Yuri, and Sasha De Sola (“San Francisco Ballet”) as Natasha.
Director/Writer Andrew Dillon says: “Hope Dances presents the journey of a girl with a dream, and a coming of age story with respect to making life choices. The film presents important themes of families coming together, of mentors guiding aspiring dreamers, and of a girl discovering, pursuing, and achieving a dream.”
