For the first time in nearly a decade, CBS Daytime veteran and CRIMINAL MINDS star Shemar Moore will return to television’s #1 Daytime Drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, for a special two-day guest appearance, Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 11 (12:30-1:30 PM, ET; 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Moore, who appeared as a series regular for 11 years (1994-2002 and 2004-2005), will reprise his role as the charismatic Malcolm Winters, a portrayal that earned him a Daytime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000. During his two-day return, Moore will reunite with longtime friend and co-star Kristoff St. John, who portrays his on-screen brother, Neil Winters. In the episodes, Malcolm returns to Genoa City after leaving town years before without a proper goodbye. Now, he’s back for an important visit with the Winters family to make amends and catch up on everything he’s missed.
“I am excited about returning to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as a special guest,” said Moore. “This is where I got my start, and I am looking forward to reuniting with my soap opera family.”
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has been the #1-rated daytime drama for 25 years. Recently, the show won its eighth Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
