‘Project Afterlife’ Preview For Sunday On Destination America

A team of investigators motivated by their own experiences with pulling victims back from the grave – including a paramedic, an ordained minister, a retired state trooper, and an investigative filmmaker – launch an unprecedented quest to unlock the mysteries of resurrection with help from real people who say they have gone through it.

Labor of Love/Supernatural Warfare Premieres Sunday, September 6 at 10/9c Sam Wagner looks into the case of Sharon Abbott, who died after giving birth to her third child. Abbott’s brother-in-law, J.D., had his own vision, and the correlation with what Abbott saw in the afterlife has Sam at a loss for words. Meanwhile, Jesse Birkey meets Dean Braxton, who arrived at the hospital for minor surgery and was later dead for nearly two hours. Braxton’s journey through the afterlife, and his wife’s warfare on the forces trying to take him, has created an unusual case for Project Afterlife.

A Sister’s Premonition/Cowboy Feud Premieres Sunday, September 13 at 10/9c Jesse Birkey meets Valerie Paters, who was driving her daughter home when they were involved in a fatal 18 car pileup. Paters flat lined in the ambulance on the way to the hospital and witnessed something that made her never want to leave the afterlife. Her sister also had a vision that proves some bonds cannot be broken. Meanwhile, Rodger Frievalt investigates cowboy Freddy Vest, who had a severe heart attack in the middle of a rodeo that killed him instantly. Rodger looks for clues in what fellow cowboys did to bring Vest back, and how Vest’s experience on the other side changed his life.
