Movie Review: ‘La La Land’ Is A Once In A Century Achievement

I’m going to be writing almost non-stop about this movie for the next couple weeks. So, I’ll make this brief. ‘La La Land’ is not only my favorite movie this year, but it is one of the best movies of this young century! It is the most purely entertaining and delightfully enlightening film I’ve seen in a very long time. I’ve seen it twice and I can’t wait to see it again.

The tale is a simple one about two dreamers trying to make it in Hollywood, but the writing, music, and performances make it feel like the other world it truly is. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone give Oscar worthy performances and deliver the most memorable dance numbers I’ve seen in the movies as an adult. Not to mention the outstanding singing and Gosling’s stellar piano work. I can’t believe he just learned for this movie.

‘La La Land’ is the best looking, shot, choreographed, scored, edited, and acted movie I’ve seen all year! It is the most fun I had at the movies all year! And it is the most memorable movie I’ve seen all year! If you miss it than you are doing yourself a disservice. This is what movie theaters are made for. Run out and see it right now! Nothing more needs to be said! Goooo!!!
